Two operational souls, built on specialist know-how and dedicated processes, are guided by a common vision: to manage the entire lifecycle of non-performing loans (NPLs) comprehensively, rapidly, and efficiently, restoring value to critical positions and turning losses into new opportunities for return.

The company's activity is structured into two complementary but distinct areas:

Origination

Consulting for alternative investments in secured/unsecured Italian NPL portfolios.

Servicing

The management and recovery of non-performing loans (NPLs) and trade receivables on behalf of third parties, as an operator authorized and supervised by the Bank of Italy.

History, Management, and Approach

Master Mind NPL was founded in 2012 by the current director, Federico Francese, a professional with extensive experience in investigative consulting and asset tracing, along with a team of consultants with vertical expertise in the legal and financial sectors.

Specializing in credit recovery and large-scale investigations for the NPL world—and, generally, for enriching customer data linked to financial operations—the company started acquiring NPL portfolios on the secondary market in 2019. This expanded its expertise from valuation and due diligence right through to the projection of expected cash flows.

In subsequent years, Master Mind NPL strengthened its credibility through an international network of investors and operators, increasing its expertise and managed volumes. Since 2023, with the new operational headquarters in Padua and the development of dedicated applications, the company has consolidated its role as an integrated operator in the Italian NPL market, distinguishing itself for its highly specialized structure and the decades of expertise of its managers.

Already holding T.U.L.P.S. (Consolidated Law on Public Security) licenses 134 (investigations) and 115 (debt recovery), in April 2025 Master Mind NPL established Master Mind NPL 114 Srl, a company applying for authorization under Art. 114.5 of the T.U.B. (Consolidated Law on Banking) to operate as a servicer for non-performing loans under the supervision of the Bank of Italy.
